thunder has the scoop that the SA govt is going to dump the Tour Down Under. I had a squiz at the leaked SA budget docs which the Advertiser has up. It looks like it on the cards. Removal of Pro Tour status, then dump the event completely. No doubt it will all come out in the wash in the next day or two.

Could be good. Maybe one of the bigger states will pick it up. Or upgrade an existing race ? ? ?
